Congratulations Helen on Your Retirement!

Dear APAICS community, This past July, Helen M. Ruggiero, APAICS’ beloved Chief Operating Officer and longest serving member of the APAICS family, retired. “APAICS and our entire community thanks Helen for her dedicated work and service to expand AANHPI representation on and beyond the Hill,” said Madalene Xuan-Trang Mielke, APAICS president and CEO. “We deeply appreciate the integral role Helen played at APAICS where she welcomed and nurtured hundreds of APAICS Fellows and Interns along with countless other alumni from APAICS programs. In fact, for many of us, Helen was one of the first faces that we met when starting in DC. Helen’s positivity and warmth made her treasured by all and we thank her for her mentorship and friendship.” Helen joined APAICS in August 2006 and was responsible for financial responsibility, fundraising, grant writing and event planning for the organization.
