Jim Park

National Advisory Council Member

Throughout his 20 year career in the housing related field, Jim Park held positions in the nonprofit, government, corporate and small business sectors. In those positions, Park worked to advance sustainable homeownership and community revitalization efforts, particularly for the underserved and multicultural communities. Park served in the Clinton Administration as a political appointee working in the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Park is the co-founder and CEO of New Vista Asset Management – a national distressed asset management firm focused on creating sustainable housing opportunities in communities affected by foreclosures. In addition to his role as Chair of APAICS, Park is currently the president of the Asian Real Estate Association of America, and an appointed member of the Federal Reserve’s Consumer Advisory Council. Park also participates on numerous boards of national nonprofit organizations dedicated to expanding homeownership opportunities for underserved communities. He is current on the boards of the Low Income Investment Fund and the National Coalition of Asian Pacific American Community Development, and is a trustee of National Housing Conference.

Park attended University California, Irvine where he received his degrees in Economics, Political Science and Art. He also attended George Washington University where he received his Master’s in public policy and administration. Park currently resides in San Diego, CA with his wife Judy and three children.
