Tania Laden

Tania Laden currently serve as Vice President of Development & External Affairs at APAICS, where she leads corporate sponsorship and fundraising strategy, cultivate and steward relationships with partners, and oversee external engagement around signature events — including our Policy Summits, Annual Awards Gala, and Cultural and Community Celebrations. Day to day, that means everything from securing and renewing sponsorships to coordinating event logistics and partner communications with our team.

Prior to joining APAICS, she was the Executive Director and Co-founder of Solar Sister Kenya (previously LivelyHoods), a nonprofit social enterprise that distributes clean-energy products in slum communities through a nationwide sales network of unemployed youth and women. Tania also recruited and managed phone banking volunteers for Swing Left and the DNC, and assisted Mayor Brian de Peña in Lawrence, Massachusetts during his administration's incoming transition.

Tania earned her BS from Stanford University in 2008, with a degree in Science, Technology and Society, focusing on Management Science & Engineering. In 2022, she earned a Master's in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.

She loves working at APAICS because it lets me combine my passion for community-building and public service — advancing the political and civic power of the AA & NH/PI community is work she feels genuinely lucky to be part of every day.
