Albert "AJ" Yuan is the Senior Development Associate at APAICS. Based in Washington, D.C., he supports the organization's fundraising, development, and events operations work.
Previously working in the environmental policy space, AJ began his career interning at environmental justice organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area, before interning in the office of the late-U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein and at the White House Council on Environmental Quality during the Biden-Harris Administration. Most recently, AJ worked on the government affairs team at WE ACT for Environmental Justice, supporting efforts to advance legislation and policy to address the disproportionate impact of pollution and climate change on communities of color and low-income.
AJ is excited to advance APAICS priorities and support the growth of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander community within public service. A Delaware native, AJ holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from UC Davis.
