Mario Salazar

Mario K. Salazar is an Executive Director of Public Policy for Comcast NBCUniversal, where he works on emerging policy issues focused on broadband accessibility and adoption, innovation, competitive dynamics, and other issues. Mario previously held VP roles at top public affairs firms BCW Global and APCO Worldwide, where he managed comprehensive public policy, grassroots, and issue advocacy campaigns at the federal, state, and local levels for some of the world’s biggest brands and trade associations.

Before this, Mario spent nearly a decade working on electoral campaigns. Mario played a role in President Obama’s historic 2008 and 2012 campaigns as well as for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, SEIU, Senator Mark Warner, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and the American Petroleum Institute.

Mario and his wife Bethany are co-founders of a local food company and live in Maryland with their 4 dogs. He earned a BS from Cornell University, JD from New York Law School, ALM from Harvard University, and MBA from Duke University. Mario is currently a PHD student at the University of Alabama.
