Welcome New APAICS Board Members



Mona Mohib - Board Member

Mona is a senior vice president in the Federal Public Affairs group at McGuireWoods Consulting (MWC) where she advises clients on a variety of issues and helps strategize their engagement with the U.S. Congress and the Biden Administration. Mona has been recognized by The Hill as one of the top lobbyists of 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. She is also a member of the firm's national practice where she serves as a primary liaison with Democratic state and local elected officials across the country. She also is co-chair of the MWC Pro Bono Committee and is a member of the McGuireWoods LLP Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Learn More Here.




Liliana Ranon - Board Member

Liliana Ranon is vice president of External Affairs at the National Association of Broadcasters. She is responsible for managing NAB’s partnerships with third-party groups on legislative and regulatory issues affecting local broadcasters. Ranon comes to NAB with prior experience in community engagement and government affairs, most recently as community manager at the Obama Foundation. In that position, she helped the organization develop relationships with stakeholders focused on increasing civic engagement among young people, one of the foundation’s key priorities. Tania Laden - External Affairs Manager

Tania was the Executive Director and Co-founder of Solar Sister Kenya, a nonprofit social enterprise. She has a Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a BS from Stanford University. Learn More Here.



Dahye Kang - Communications Associate

Dahye is a graduate from the University of Maryland where she co-founded the APIDA Social Justice Task Force where she has successfully advocated for the development of an Asian American cultural center and the expansion of the Asian American Studies department. Learn More Here.


Mackenzie Loi - Programs Associate

Mackenzie graduated from the University of Puget Sound where she majored in Politics and Government with a double minor in Education Studies and Chinese.She has previously interned for U.S. Congressman Don Beyer (VA-08) and Running Start. Learn More Here.

15 Days to the Summit in Las Vegas


APAICS provides a launching point for AA & NH/PI women interested in politics through panels of political experts, networking opportunities, and hearing from AA & NH/PI elected officials. APAICS Women’s Collective Summit was created to bring powerful AA & NH/PI women together to share, to inspire, and to take bold action towards creating a more representative democracy. The summit is a three-day event during which participants are invited to learn in several programs ranging from networking to leadership training to community building.

Katherine Ong Sisolak is the First Lady of Nevada and co-founder and Director of Hobbs, Ong & Associates, Inc., a financial consulting firm established in 1996, specializing in local government financial advisory support. Since founding the firm, her experience includes client relations and related debt issuance matters.
