About the Event
In the spirit of #WomensHistoryMonth, APAICS is bringing back our newest Women's Collective special, Empower Hour! This series will feature trailblazing elected AAPI women on “AAPI Firsts”. Join our panel to discuss the progress made by AAPI women in elected office, their own “firsts”, and how we build on the momentum from 2020. Happening March 25th at 12:00 PM ET we will be joined by Vermont State Senator Kesha Ram and Long Beach City Councilwoman Suely Saro! Senator Ram became the first Asian American and Woman to serve in her role. Councilwoman Saro, an APAICS NLA alum, became the first Cambodian to serve on the Long Beach City Council.
