On Thursday, September 14 from 8:15 am-9:45 am in 1416 Longworth HOB, join APAICS for a policy briefing on rare kidney disease care in partnership with Travere Therapeutics.
Many rare kidney diseases disproportionately affect AA & NH/PI communities yet remain an overlooked driver of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). But there is hope, as several factors have led to what STAT called “a golden era” in rare kidney disease research, which is starting to yield new treatments and approaches to care. Come learn from clinical experts and leading stakeholders about how the public and private sector can work together to ensure the AA & NH/PI community is part of this new era, which will save lives and potentially reduce dialysis and transplant costs significantly.
