Nisha Ramachandran

Vice Chair

Nisha Ramachandran (she/her) is the founder and CEO of The Ramachandran Group, LLC, a consulting business specializing in community engagement, government relations, and strategic advocacy for Asian American & Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AA & NH/PI) organizations. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS).

For 3.5 years, Nisha served as Executive Director of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC), chaired by Rep. Judy Chu (CA-28). Nisha joined CAPAC as their first South Asian American Executive Director in 2021 with nearly a decade of experience working within the national AA & NH/PI community. Prior to that, she became a small business owner by starting her own consulting company and also served as the Policy Director for the National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA). Nisha was also previously an APAICS Legislative Fellow in the office of Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-06).

She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a Master’s in Public Policy from The George Washington University. An Arizona native, she lives with her husband Kelvin in Washington, DC.
