Sabel Harris is a senior marketing executive, elected official, and community leader with a passion for increasing AAPI representation in public service. As a Vietnamese American Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for ANC 1B, where she has served three terms including two years as Chairperson and currently as Vice Chair, Sabel has demonstrated her commitment to effective neighborhood leadership and local government.

In 2022, Sabel made history as a candidate for the DC Council Ward 1 seat, where she would have become the first Asian American DC Councilmember. Her groundbreaking campaign built on her experience as a 2021 APAICS Women's Collective participant, which provided her with crucial foundations to expand her political aspirations.

Professionally, Sabel brings over a decade of marketing leadership experience, having built and led high-performing marketing teams across both startups and billion-dollar companies. Her extensive background includes executive marketing roles at companies like EVERFI from Blackbaud, where she consistently drove multi-million dollar pipeline growth through strategic marketing initiatives.

Throughout her career in both the private sector and public service, Sabel has leveraged her marketing expertise to create innovative, data-driven strategies that deliver measurable results. As an elected official, she has secured civic benefits including funding for local nonprofits, capital improvements for parks, and increased affordable housing through strategic negotiations and public advocacy.

Sabel holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from George Mason University and continues to use her unique combination of marketing acumen and political experience to mentor and support other AAPI professionals considering careers in public service.
