Helen Cecile graduated from Lewis & Clark College in 2022 where they studied Asian Studies and Chemistry, while completing a thesis in Religious Studies.
Accessibility became a focus for Helen Cecile at Lewis & Clark, where they served as the Student Academic Affairs Board’s Grants Director, helping make independent student research more viable to students. During this time, Helen Cecile furthered their interest in sustainability as a chemical research intern at PHOENXT.
They recently participated in the 74th annual Japan-America Student Conference (JASC), and plan to continue their involvement with JASC as a member of the American executive committee.
Their experiences have given them skills in grant writing, managing funds, and collaborative research. Helen Cecile is excited to use their skills to continue to support the AA & NH/PI communities through APAICS in their new role as Operations Associate!
