Dahye is a 2022 graduate from the University of Maryland where she earned dual degrees in Biological Sciences and Criminology & Criminal Justice, with a minor in Asian American Studies.
Her passion for Asian American advocacy began at UMD, where she co-founded the APIDA Social Justice Task Force and successfully advocated for initiatives such as the development of an Asian American cultural center and the expansion of the Asian American Studies department. Dahye also served on various administrative councils alongside of other diverse leaders, which led to her interest in Asian American solidarity efforts on a larger, systematic scale.
In addition to her involvement in Asian American affairs, Dahye was a Social Media & Marketing Intern for the Maryland Mentor Corps, a mentoring program in Prince George’s County, MD, dedicated to combatting education inequality in the local community. Through this experience, she developed a passion for communications, social media content creation, and brand design.
