Remy is a native of Washington State who has a strong passion for public service. He began his career in the public sector in the Washington State Senate as a Session Aide for the Office of State Senator Maralyn Chase of the 32nd Legislative District. In this role, Remy connected constituents to social services and met with interest groups on legislation. After being promoted to the Legislative Assistant, he oversaw the capital and district office operations, managing the Senator’s legislative portfolio, office session staff, and constituent services. Remy completed his time at the Senate as the Executive Legislative Assistant to State Senator John McCoy, the Senate Majority Caucus Chair, and serving his constituents of the 38th legislative district. Remy’s dedication to the public sector stems from his desire to connect marginalized communities to vital public resources and the public policy-making process.

Understanding the importance of cross-cultural learning in serving diverse communities in public service, Remy sought education abroad. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Political Science from Nagoya University in Japan and a master’s degree in International Public Management from the Paris Institute of Political Studies in France. Throughout his academic career, Remy has held numerous internship positions in civil society organizations in Africa, Asia, and North America.
