Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland
Lou has a strong passion for politics, law, and social justice. He received his bachelor’s degree from the College of Staten Island-City University New York, majoring in political science with a dual minor in legal studies and philosophy. Lou recently completed the American Association of People with Disabilities 2021 Summer Internship program and Disability Policy Certificate program. While he was in the AAPD 2021 Summer Internship program, he was placed in the Office of Federal Operations of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He assisted investigators with investigating various forms of discrimination in the workplace and guaranteeing equality within the working environment. Lou is excited to start the APAICS Congressional Fellowship, where he hopes to utilize this opportunity to amplify the representation and inclusivity of Asian-Americans, especially Asian-Americans with Disabilities, in politics and legislature. Furthermore, Lou hopes to further the progress of diversity and equity in politics for all in conjunction with Stand against AAPI hate.
