Biography

Lee Culpepper was named Vice President of Corporate Affairs, in March 2007.  Prior to this role, he served as Vice President for Federal Government Affairs since joining the company in July, 2005.

In his present role, Lee oversees corporate reputation research as well as issue management and strategy. In addition, Lee coordinates the company’s advocacy and outreach programs and supervises WAL-PAC − Wal-Mart’s Political Action committee. He also is charged with the strategic planning and execution of Walmart’s external stakeholder management efforts.

Prior to joining Walmart, Lee worked for the National Restaurant Association for 12 years and more than eight years on Capitol Hill, handling legislative issues for members in both houses of Congress. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia.

Lee currently serves on the Board of Visitors of the University of Georgia School of Public and International Affairs. He also serves on the Board of the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) and the Bryce Harlow Foundation.
