Programs
APAICS manages a variety of programs designed to serve as a pipeline for developing current and future political leaders in the Asian Pacific American community.
APAICS offers paid summer internships in the DC area for current college students and recent graduates. Interns are placed on Capitol Hill, in federal agencies, or with local nonprofit organizations to explore future careers in the public sector.
APAICS Fellows work directly on public policy issues as full-fledged staff members in a congressional office. Fellows are selected for a period of nine months and must be college graduates (advanced degrees preferred).
The Leadership Academy is an intensive two day training program for Asian Pacific American elected officials. The program includes specialized training sessions, networking opportunities, and meetings with national political campaign committees and Members of Congress.
Congressional Mentorship Program
The Congressional Mentorship Program provides an opportunity for an elected official to shadow a Member of Congress and gain valuable insights into Congressional policies and procedures.
