Biography

Before coming to DC, Nakul was Legislative Analyst for the Asian Pacific American (APA)
Affairs Commission of Connecticut, a non-partisan agency charged with providing legislative
recommendations of social and economic concern to the APA community to legislative
leaders and the governor. In that capacity Nakul provided written and oral legislative
testimony, research, and public relations communications for the Commission on state-level
healthcare, education, and immigration issues.

Nakul received his BS and JD from UConn and is admitted to practice law in Connecticut.
He was born in India and speaks Hindi and Gujarati fluently.

His favorite band at the moment is The Black Keys.

Washington, DC—On Tuesday, five new Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) leaders were elected to serve in the 113th United States Congress, with one race too close to call.
