Meina Banh

Bio

Meina Banh is the 2009-2010 APAICS Anheuser Busch / Frank Horton Fellow in the office of Congressman Mike Honda (CA-15). She handles Rep. Honda’s Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) issues on housing, economic development, and education. Meina also handles Rep. Honda’s labor, health care, small business, and integration bill issues.

Prior to coming to Washington DC, Meina worked for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles as a paralegal on family law, immigration, and housing issues.  She was also a graduate fellow at the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD) working on fair and affordable housing issues, and worked as a policy associate at the Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment (PACE) on securing grants for small business development and work force development.

Meina attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she received her Bachelor’s degree in political science, sociology, and Asian American studies and her Master’s in public policy.

Washington, DC—On Tuesday, five new Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) leaders were elected to serve in the 113th United States Congress, with one race too close to call.
