APAICS to Co-Host Capital Hearts for Japan Fundraiser to Support Relief in Japan


Washington, D.C. – The Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) joins partner organizations to co-host theCapital Hearts for Japan – Earthquake Relief Fundraiser.  The event will take place on Saturday, March 26th from 6-10pm at The Park on Fourteenth (920 14th St NW). 100% of proceeds will go to Save the Children efforts in Japan.

“Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to the families and communities suffering horrific losses from the earthquake and tsunami in Japan,” said President and CEO Gloria Chan. “I encourage everyone to attend this important event supporting relief efforts on the ground.”

Capital Hearts for Japan, a coalition of diverse organizations in the Washington, DC metro area, was formed to help provide immediate and long-term relief to our friends in Japan. One hundred percent of proceeds will go to Save the Children, an international aid organization that  provides emergency relief for children affected by disaster and devastation.
