Biography
Seng is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles. In 2007-2008, he was selected as one of six recent college graduates to participate in the prestigious Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies Fellowship programs. Seng completed his fellowship at the Unites States Environmental Protection Agency where he worked in the Office of International Affairs on the Central America Free Trade Agreement-Dominican Republic (CAFTA-DR) Program. In addition, Seng had the unique opportunity to work with the White House Initiative on Asian American and Pacific Islanders, the World Health Organization, and the United Nations Environment Program, where he played a vital role in organizing the first ever pilot project and conference on chemical safety in Southeast Asia schools that to took place in Bangkok, Thailand.
After his fellowship, Seng was a staffer in Congresswoman Laura Richardson’s office where he primarily served as the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) liaison. He was also a member of the Congressional American Pacific American Staffer’s Association (CAPASA) where he was co-chair of the community service committee.
Currently, Seng is Special Assistant to the CEO at APCO Worldwide, a global public affairs and consultancy firm headquartered in Washington, D.C. As Special Assistant Seng assists the CEO’s office on global business development, special events, and supports APCO’s International Advisory Council and Global Political Strategies services.
Seng Peng was the 2007-2008 Sodexo USA Health and Policy Fellow placed in the Environmental Protection Agency.
