Biography
Meina Banh is currently the Senate Special Assistant in the Small Business Administration (SBA) and was the 2009-2010 APAICS Anheuser Busch / Frank Horton Fellow in the office of Congressman Mike Honda (CA-15). She handled Rep. Honda’s Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) issues on housing, economic development, and education. Meina also handled Rep. Honda’s labor, health care, small business, and integration bill issues.
Prior to coming to Washington DC, Meina worked for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles as a paralegal on family law, immigration, and housing issues. She was also a graduate fellow at the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD) working on fair and affordable housing issues, and worked as a policy associate at the Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment (PACE) on securing grants for small business development and work force development.
Meina attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she received her Bachelor’s degree in political science, sociology, and Asian American studies and her Master’s in public policy.
