Biography
Jessica Li is a rising junior at University of California, Berkeley, where she is pursuing a double major in French and Political Science with a specialization in International Relations. She recently spent a semester abroad studying French in an immersion program at the University of Bordeaux. As a Chinese American born in Los Angeles, CA, she can communicate in two Chinese dialects: Cantonese and Taishanese. She has worked extensively with the Chinese American Citizens Alliance Youth Council to organize programs promoting higher education and financial aid opportunities. A Gates Millennium Scholar, she has also been honored with the California Alumni Association Leadership Award for two consecutive years. This summer, she will be interning with the Department of State at the U.S. Embassy in Tunis, Tunisia. Upon graduation, she hopes to pursue graduate studies in international relations and become a Foreign Service Officer.
Jessica was a 2010 APAICS Summer Intern and was placed in the office of Rep. Judy Chu.
