Biography

Jeremy Rye was the Daniel K. Inouye / George Aratani Foundation Fellow and worked in the office of then-chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus Representative David Wu.

In July of 2004, he joined the Development Department at the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR). Recognizing that many underserved, queer, and people of color communities did not have seasoned fundraisers, Jeremy entered the development field to learn a skill set that he could use later to serve his own communities and progressive causes. Prior to CCR, has served as an organizer within Asian and Pacific Islander and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender communities, and has also done organizing work with the National Organization of Legal Service Workers, UAW Local 2320, AFL-CIO. Originally from Sacramento, California, Jeremy graduated from the University of California-Davis with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Minors in Asian American Studies and Community & Regional Development
