Biography
Collin Siu was the 2009-2010 APAICS - National Association of Realtors Housing Policy Fellow in the office of Representative Al Green (D-TX). In this role, he managed a policy portfolio that included housing, agriculture, environment, Native American/Native Hawaiian, and small business issues. Collin was Representative Green's liaison to the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus and staffed the Congressman on the Subcommittee on Housing and Community Opportunity of the Committee on Financial Services. In addition to this portfolio of policy issues, he had worked on a number of legislative projects that included managing several of Representative Green's bills.
Collin's background is in community economic development and asset-building policy for low- and moderate-income families. He has worked for the Governor of Oregon and at non-profit organizations in Honolulu, Seattle, and Salem, Oregon. He was a 2008-2009 Emerson National Hunger Fellow at the Congressional Hunger Center and was named a Public Policy and International Affairs Fellow in 2007.
Collin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Willamette University. He is originally from Mililani, Hawai'i.
