Biography

Anna Chu was the 2009-2010 Walmart/George R. Ariyoshi APAICS Fellow placed with the House Democratic Caucus. Her responsibilities included staffing the Congressional Task Force on Competitiveness, leading an outreach program to district offices, and handling issues such as census, health care, and small business.

Anna currently serves as the Policy Director at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, as President of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Staff Association, and as a board member of the National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum-DC Chapter. Prior to her current position, Anna was the Policy Advisor at the House Democratic Caucus. Additionally, Anna has handled employment class actions as an associate at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, took on immigration pro bono work for Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach, and served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Jane A. Restani of the U.S. Court of International Trade. 

Anna received her B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley.  She received her law degree from the University of Southern California.  Anna is a native of San Francisco, California.
